Long before her first single, music had been part of Jazmine Vallis’s life. Raised in a musical household and named Jazmine with a “Z” as a nod to jazz, she was immersed in music from an early age—a foundation that continues to shape her artistry today. Originally from just outside Detroit and now based in Nashville, Jazmine is an independent recording artist, songwriter, and performer known for her warm, soulful voice, signature rasp, and powerhouse vocal presence.

Her genre-blending sound is rooted in pop-rock and soul, combining honest personal storytelling, bold melodies, and a rock-influenced edge. Inspired by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Rihanna, Teddy Swims, and Lady Gaga, Jazmine creates songs that feel expressive, direct, and built for connection. A graduate of Belmont University with a degree in Commercial Songwriting, she also draws on nearly two decades of dance training and experience as a former Division I Vanderbilt dancer to bring movement, emotion, and storytelling to life on stage.

Through her music, Jazmine continues to build a catalog that highlights her range as both a vocalist and songwriter. A Guinness World Record holder, Jazmine was one of 100 featured songwriters selected to perform at Nashville 100 at Brooklyn Bowl, helping set the record for the largest attendance at a writers round. She was also selected as one of nine artists to compete in the Hard Rock Rising Global Competition, winning her round and advancing to the local finals at Hard Rock Nashville. With new music on the horizon, Jazmine is continuing to build an identity rooted in emotionally honest songwriting, compelling performances, and a voice that leaves a lasting impression.
